Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and BJP election in-charge for Telangana Jagat Prakash Nadda on Monday said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao dissolved the State Assembly “without any valid reason.”Speaking to mediapersons here, he said the TRS government which earlier supported the ‘One Nation One Election’ concept, took a ‘U’ turn and dissolved the State Assembly well before its term, and the Chief Minister failed to give any explanation for this even after BJP national president Amit Shah demanded in two public meetings.

“The reason which KCR gave while advancing the elections was that 200 Public Interest Litigations (PILs) were filed against the government. In a democracy, it is the responsibility of the opposition parties to approach courts of law if they feel schemes and programmes were not being implemented in a proper way,” he said, adding that the same practice will continue even if the BJP comes to power.

On AIIMS, the Union Health Minister said the Central government had given the nod and the DPR was also ready. “It is under the consideration of the Finance Committee, and once it approves it, the works will start at Bibi Nagar,” he said. Party president K Laxman, former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and former legislator G Kishan Reddy were present.
