Homan before Kaleshwaram

Warangal: Before Chief Minister K. Chandrasekar Rao inaugurates the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project (KLIP) on June 21, he will perform a homam at Medigadda.


Mr KCR during his visit to Kaleshwaram in May had mentioned that he would conduct a homam for the success of the project and the prosperity of the farmers.


Accordingly, the Chief Minister would first conduct a three-hour homam which will be followed by a puja and the opening of the barrage gates at Medigadda. The barrage has 85 gates.


In 2016, Mr KCR had laid the foundation stone of the project on May 2, a Friday, considered as the favourite day of Lord Shiva.


The inauguration of the project is also scheduled on a Friday and Lakshmivaram puja will be conducted to bring prosperity to the farmers.


District officials are busy inspecting the locations suitable for conducting the homam at Medigadda. Officials from the CM’s office and collector Vasam Venkateshwarlu visited the helipad, the Medigadda view point, and arrangements for the stay of officials. Superintendent of police R. Bhaaskaran, E.E. Venkataramana Reddy, J.E. Vali, inspector Ranjith Kumar were present.
