Passport office to come soon in Mahabubabad

Thanks to the efforts of Mahabubabad MP (TRS) A Seetaram Naik the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), for the benefit of the people of the Mahabubabad district and nearby places, will set up a Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) at Mahabubabad soon.Arun K Chatterji, Joint Secretary (PSP) and CPO, in a letter addressed to Regional Passport Officer (RPO), Hyderabad, recently, asked the RPO to contact the Post Master General to complete all necessary arrangements for the launch of the passport related services at the proposed POPSK by October 31.


It may be mentioned that POPSKs will also be set up at Bhongir and Malkajgiri in the State along with Mahabubabad for the delivery of passport related services to the citizens. The objective of the POPSK is to extend passport related services on a larger scale and to ensure wider area coverage.Speaking to Telangana Today, MP Prof A Seetaram Naik said that he had urged the Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj during their visit to the Mauritius. “I thank the Minister of External Affairs for considering my proposal. Setting up the POPSK would be much helpful for the people of the district as many people are either visiting Warangal or Hyderabad to get the passport,”he added.
