BJP MLA N.V.S.S. Prabhakar protested against the acts of the TRS government for keeping him under house arrest for raising voice against the externing of Swami Paripoornanada from Hyderabad. He said that there's no democracy in the state as all the civil rights have been suppressed.

Mr Prabhakar said “The state government externed Swami Paripoornananda from the city in violation of his constitutional rights and when I tried to protest against this, it put me under house arrest.”

Mr Prabhakar also alleged that it is police rule in Telangana as no party is being allowed to organise meetings, dharnas and protests.  “I dare the state government to arrest those six people in the ruling party, against whom cases have been filed. MIM leaders also resorted to hate speech, but the state government ignored them,” Mr Prabhakar said on Sunday.
