CM K Chandrasekhar Rao praises Telugu film industry for honours

HYDERABAD : Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao expressed happiness over the Telugu flick ‘Pelli Chupulu’, in which lead actors are from Telangana, being selected as the Best Regional Language Film in the National Film Awards, announced on Friday.


Rao on Saturday congratulated the producer, director, actors and other unit members of the film. He also congratulated Tharun Bhascker who was adjudged the best dialogue writer for the movie.


The Chief Minister said it was a moment of pride for the Telangana State as its citizens got recognised at the national level by displaying their exemplary talent in ‘Pellichupulu’.


The Chief Minister hailed the film, ‘Sathamanam Bhavathi’, which had won award for the wholesome entertainment film. He also congratulated Raju Sundaram for winning the best choreographer award for the film, ‘Janata Garage’. 


“I wish that these awards would further inspire Telugu film industry to win many more such honours at national level in the coming days,” the Chief Minister remarked.
